Wait your Turn

The discarded feathers at the kerbside

Tells its own story

Scattered wide, the chase between the

Predator

And it’s prey

Amplified by the carcasses eaten

By everything in order

Of rank

The magpies waiting patiently in the sun

For their turn

I turned to writing for therapy after a long period of ill-health. I have just returned to work. I am a researcher, writer, and Mental Health Advocate.
